Organic Roasted GABA Oolong
Organic Roasted GABA Oolong
I have never been fond of GABA Oolong. It always had a strange flavor to me that never appealed to my tastes. However, on my most recent trip to Lugu in the center of Taiwan, I was introduced to this tea and was amazed that GABA oolong could taste this good. Having a nice balance of sweetness and fruity aromas with a very subtle chocolate undertones, It has a some of the characteristics of red oolong but also retains its own kind of uniqueness. This tea not only excels in gongfu style brewing but it is also great for grandpa and western style brewing methods. If you like GABA oolong, I would highly recommend trying this one.
What is GABA tea?
GABA tea is made by placing leaves in a nitrogen rich environment creating higher levels of GABA (Gama-Amino Butyric Acid) within the leaves. GABA is a naturally occurring amino acid found in the body and is associated with many health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, relieving anxiety, and aiding in relaxation. GABA tea was originally invented in Japan in the 1980s and has been developing in Taiwan for over 10 years.
